Linea Personal Ignite Regional Mexican Music With Explosive New Single “FLP”
Linea Personal drop their new single “FLP,” blending cultura, car culture, and regional Mexican innovation as one of música Mexicana’s fastest-rising groups.
A Visual Tribute to Community, Identity & Car Culture
The “FLP” music video—directed by DBM Creatives—spotlights the vibrant, larger-than-life world of Mexican car culture. Through imagery steeped in community pride and flashes of the Mexican flag, the visual highlights the powerful bond shared between Mexican-American youth and the automotive scenes that have long served as hubs of expression, unity, and heritage.
A New Generation of Regional Mexican: Built on Dual Identity
Linea Personal have carved out their own space in the sierreño and regional Mexican landscape by leaning into the influences that raised them in the United States—everything from R&B to country. They cite The Weeknd and Morgan Wallen as key inspirations, merging these threads seamlessly with traditional música Mexicana foundations. Their unique blend resonates powerfully with a growing generation of U.S.-raised Latinos navigating bicultural identities.
Proudly Stockton-Born: A Voice From California’s Working-Class Heart
A major component of Linea Personal’s identity is their deep pride in their hometown of Stockton, California. Historically overlooked but culturally rich, Stockton is a working-class, immigrant-built city located in the San Joaquin Valley. The region has long been a cornerstone of California’s agricultural economy, powered by a vibrant community largely composed of Mexican immigrants whose labor sustains produce fields that feed much of the United States.
A Breakout Live Moment: Debut Performance in Mexico
Continuing their upward trajectory, Linea Personal recently made their live debut in Mexico, performing at the beloved Arre Festival in Monterrey this past weekend. Their electrifying set marked a major milestone and further solidified their fast-growing presence on both sides of the border.
ABOUT LINEA PERSONAL
Founded in Stockton, California by lead vocalist Gustavo Raya, Linea Personal entered the regional Mexican scene in 2022 with their debut single “Seguimos Fijos.” The track captured early attention, leading to a collaboration with Juanpa Salazar on “Salió Cabrón.” Their first project, Euphoria, explored influences from música Mexicana and R&B, showcasing the versatility that would soon become their signature.
LINEA PERSONAL ON “FLP”
“With the success of ‘Holanda’ we decided to follow a similar structure for a new song. We were in San Carlos Sonora, Mexico, during a writer’s camp and we, along with one of the Street Mob writers, Naach, began to write the song and we decided to produce it with our singular style and sound.”
